About Ian

Ian’s Quincy roots go back four generations to when his family first moved here from Ireland. Home for them was on Myrtle Street. He has spent the majority of his life as a resident of the city. A proud graduate of Wollaston and Central Middle Schools, an alumnus of the Quincy Recreation Staff, and a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church, Ian wants to give back to the community that has given him so much.

Ian graduated from Boston College High School, from Boston College with a BA in political science, and from Duke University with an MBA. Over the years, he has worked in commercial real estate with Tishman Speyer, developed and managed power projects around the world with BTU Ventures, advanced impact investing with SJF Ventures, and lead business development activity at Luminoso, an MIT Media Lab spin off. Today, Ian is the Vice President of Business Development at Valuation Research Corporation, a global independent valuation firm.

Ian is a member of the Board of Overseers at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton, and has served in leadership positions with the Melanoma Foundation of New England and the Boston College Alumni Association. He was also a 2011 Fellow of the New Leaders Council (NLC) and a 2014 Fellow of the Startup Leadership Program (SLP).
