Upcoming Neighborhood Meetings & Communication

Last week, I sent out a letter to everyone in the Ward regarding two upcoming neighborhood meetings, as well as recommunicating how you can get in touch with me should you ever have any questions, comments, or need my assistance.

Dear Neighbor,
I am writing to inform you about two upcoming neighborhood meetings we will have in November, and to provide you with a few ways to get in touch with me should you ever have any questions or concerns.
Neighborhood Meetings
1. Introduction to TPAL
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Wollaston School Gymnasium
Among other issues in the Ward, I hear a lot about traffic and parking. In the springtime, the city created a new department called Traffic, Parking, Alarm & Lighting (also known as "TPAL"), to address these issues. On November 1, I hope you can join at the Wollaston School to meet representatives from TPAL, and the Quincy Police Department, for an introduction to the department, and an opportunity to share some of your greatest concerns regarding traffic and parking in the city.

2. Public Safety Discussion with Quincy Police Department
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Wollaston School Gymnasium

The Quincy Police Crime Prevention Unit on behalf of Chief Keenan will be holding ward and community meetings to discuss issues of safety and crime.  Lieutenant Dan Minton will host the meeting, which will cover but not be limited to recent scams, Quincy Square, and other local community issues. In addition, the Quincy Police Department would like to hear from you as to how we can improve the quality of life in your neighborhood.

Coffee Hours

If you’d prefer to meet in person to say hello or have a chat, here’s your opportunity! Every other Friday, I will be at Panera Bread (200 Hancock St.) in North Quincy from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. The next Friday that I will be at Panera will be October 28. I keep the calendar on my website updated (www.iancain.org/events).

Blog & Newsletter

I keep information on my website blog (www.iancain.org/blog), and send out an e-newsletter periodically. If you would like to be included on the e-newsletter distribution, please send me an e-mail with your e-mail address to icain@quincyma.gov.

Contact Information

The best ways to reach me are by phone or by e-mail. I have a council phone number (617-376-1353) that will reach me directly. If I don’t answer the phone, please be sure to leave a voice message with your phone number so I can get back to you. If e-mail is more convenient for you, by all means, send away: icain@quincyma.gov

Stay tuned on the blog and via the e-newsletter for periodic updates, and please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions, comments, or if I can be of assistance.

Very best regards,
